Each round produced by Black Butterfly Ammo is hand-manufactured and individually inspected by a loading expert, ensuring the finest quality ammunition available. This includes visual inspections and appropriate case gauge testing of each round produced. In addition, we randomly sample and shoot our production loads at our onsite range on a regular basis – this way we can ensure all of our ammunition meets our stringent requirements and will function properly in your firearm.

Every bullet we load has been through hours of load development and testing. We have a private 200-yard range where every load is developed, tested, and tweaked as we find the perfect recipe that will combine speed, accuracy and devastation to maximize every projectile’s potential. But testing doesn’t stop after development – we constantly test our ammo during the production process to ensure the quality of each and every load.

I loaded up some of those myself. Shot a doe with my AR last season and she folded instantly. Massive trauma inside of her.

I hit a doe at 200 yards just behind the shoulder…
The entrance hole was 1.25”…. Yes that was the entrance hole. As she was being gutted, lungs and heart were completely shredded… after skinning and processing we discovered the round performed better then thought possible. The 4 petals broke off and acted as independent projectiles. Three exited the opposite side and were within 4” of the bases exit hole while one traveled up her neck and exited just below the jaw. Both shoulders were destroyed.
She ran 15 yards after she was shot, did the kickin chicken and that was that.
