SBR is a manufacturer of small arms ammunition specializing in precision Training, Match, & Duty cartridges to support Law Enforcement, Government, Military and Civilian customers. SBR is also a Class II manufacturer, building custom weapons and support systems, and hold a FFL Title 10 License
We produce a variety of ammunition, including TRACER, AP, API, and special Long Range Sniper cartridges. Our LaserMatch TRACER cartridges are designed for use with handgun and submachine gun applications, and is the only ammunition available with the choice of visible trace ranges to best meet individual training requirements. Some of our special purpose ammunition is restricted, available only for government agencies, military, or for export. We offer custom research, development, and testing for custom loading to best meet your mission requirements. Contact us for specific needs.
We have an on-site ballistic lab for testing pressures and velocities using Oehler equipment (ballistic computer 85 and model 57 system for velocities). Being a member SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute), we primarily use SAAMI methods and procedures in conducting ballistic testing. However, we can test using C.I.P. (Permanent International Commission for the Proof of Small Arms) , NATO EPVAT, or US DoD SCATP methods depending on the caliber and testing requirements. We have a variety of ranges to conduct ballistic and accuracy testing. Our indoor range can support up to 338 Lapua Magnum, while outdoor ranges support armor piercing (AP) testing and accuracy testing out to 2000m. Our fixed-mounted gun platform for the outdoor ranges can support up to 14.5mm. Other tools are Doppler Ballistic Radar (for long range measurements on outdoor ranges), high speed cameras, and Brinell hardness test equipment to certify ballistic steel plates used in our AP development and testing.
We are the leading manufacturer of 458 SOCOM, 375 SOCOM, 240 Spectre and 338 Spectre ammunition. We have been providing factory 458 SOCOM ammunition since it was developed by Marty ter Weeme, aka: Teppo Jutsu back in 2001. We have continued the research and the development of the cartridge with extensive ballistic pressure testing and load improvements. All of our 458 SOCOM products are to the original Teppo Jutsu specifications, and will service all Teppo Jutsu custom builds.
